Junretsu Profile
Formed in 2007, this is a three-member mood-kayo (Japanese popular music) chorus group mainly composed of former actors who played superhero characters in sentai (superhero) shows.
The members are Kazuyoshi Sakai (leader), Yujiro Shirakawa, and Shota Gogo. Their average height is 183cm.
They made their major debut on June 23, 2010, with the song "Namida no Ginza Line" (Tears of the Ginza Line).
With the goal of "making my parents proud by performing on Kohaku Uta Gassen (a prestigious New Year's Eve music program)," she gained attention as a "super sento (public bathhouse) idol" through her steady activities visiting various hot spring facilities.
She made her first appearance on NHK's "Kohaku Uta Gassen" in 2018 and has appeared in it for eight consecutive years since then.
In 2024, they released their first original album, "Junretsu Tamashii 1," and their first solo concert at the Nippon Budokan was a great success.
In 2025, the year marking their 15th anniversary, they took on leading roles in stage productions at Meijiza, Shin-Kabukiza, and Misonoza, and their film "Junretsu Documentary: Will I Support Them Until I Die?" was released nationwide.
In 2026, they released a new song, "Arigato" (Thank You), and are currently on a nationwide tour.
Lead vocalist Yujiro Shirakawa has announced that he will be leaving the group at the end of March 2027.
