100th day celebration [Okuizome] plan
The whole family celebrates with a feast, praying for the child's healthy growth and happiness.
"Okuizome" is a celebration for babies, held 100 to 120 days after birth, in which "food other than breast milk" is prepared for the baby's first meal and the baby pretends to eat it. Okuizome is a traditional Japanese ceremony to pray for the baby's healthy growth and that "the baby will never be short of food for the rest of its life."
