Scope of application
Article 1
- The accommodation contract and related agreements that this hotel will enter into with the guest to stay will be subject to the provisions of these terms and conditions, and any matters not provided for in these terms and conditions will be governed by laws, regulations and generally accepted practices.
- In the event that the Hotel enters into a special agreement with a Guest, provided such special agreement does not violate laws, regulations or customary practices, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, such special agreement shall take precedence.
Application for accommodation contract
Article 2
- Anyone who wishes to apply for an accommodation contract with the Hotel must provide the Hotel with the following particulars:
- Guest name
- Date of stay and expected arrival time
- Accommodation fees (in principle, based on the basic accommodation fees in Appendix 1)

② Name and contact details of the person paying the accommodation fee
- Other matters deemed necessary by the hotel
- If a Guest requests, during his/her stay, to extend his/her stay beyond the date specified in subparagraph 2 of the preceding paragraph, our Hotel will treat it as if he/she had applied for a new Accommodation Contract at the time such request was made.
Establishment of accommodation contracts, etc.
Article 3
- The accommodation contract shall be deemed to have been concluded when the hotel accepts the application as described in the previous article. However, this shall not apply when the hotel proves that it did not accept the application.
- When an accommodation contract has been concluded in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, an application fee set by the hotel, up to the basic accommodation fee for the period of stay (if it exceeds 3 days, then 3 days), will be required to be paid by the date specified by the hotel.
- The deposit shall first be applied to the room charge ultimately payable by the guest, and if a situation arises in which the provisions of Articles 6 and 18 apply, the deposit shall be used in the order of penalty followed by compensation. Any remaining amount shall be returned upon payment of the charges under Article 12.
- If the application fee stipulated in paragraph 2 is not paid by the date specified by the hotel in accordance with the provisions of the same paragraph, the accommodation agreement will become void. However, this will only apply if the hotel has so notified the guest when specifying the due date for payment of the application fee.
Special agreement waiving the application fee
Article 4
- Notwithstanding the provisions of Paragraph 2 of the preceding Article, our hotel may enter into a special agreement pursuant to which the application fee stipulated in the same paragraph is not required after the contract is concluded.
- If, when accepting an application for an Accommodation Contract, the Hotel does not request payment of the application fee as stipulated in Paragraph 2 of the preceding Article or does not specify a due date for payment of the application fee, the application shall be treated as having accepted the special contract as stipulated in the preceding Paragraph.
Refusal to conclude an accommodation contract
Article 5
- The Hotel may refuse to enter into an accommodation contract in the following cases:
- When the application for accommodation does not comply with these terms and conditions.
- When the hotel is fully booked, and no rooms are available.
- When the person seeking accommodation is deemed liable to conduct themselves in a manner that will violate the provisions of the law, the public order, or good morals regarding their accommodation.

When the person seeking accommodation is deemed to fall under any of the following items from (a) to (c)
- (a) An organized crime group as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 2 of the Act on Prevention of Unjust Acts by Organized Crime Group Members (Act No. 77 of 1991) (hereinafter referred to as an "organized crime group"), an organized crime group member as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 6 of the same Act (hereinafter referred to as an "organized crime group member"), an associate member of an organized crime group, or a person related to an organized crime group, or other anti-social forces.
- (b) When a corporation or other organization controls business activities of an organized crime group or its members.
- (c) A corporation with an officer who is a member of an organized crime group.
- When a person seeking accommodation behaves in a manner that is extremely disruptive to other guests.
- When the person seeking accommodation can be detected as carrying an infectious disease.
- When violent demands are made concerning the accommodation or an unreasonable burden is requested.
- When it is impossible to provide accommodation due to natural disasters, malfunctions of facilities, or other unavoidable reasons.
- When the case falls under Article 4 of the Nara Prefecture Hotel and Inn Business Act Enforcement Ordinance.
Guest's right to cancel accommodation contract
Article 6
- Guests may cancel their accommodation contract by notifying the hotel.
- In the event that a guest cancels the accommodation contract in whole or in part due to reasons attributable to the guest (except in the event that the hotel has requested payment of the application fee by specifying a due date in accordance with the provisions of Article 3, Paragraph 2 and the guest cancels the accommodation contract prior to payment), the hotel shall charge a penalty as listed in Attached Table 2. However, in the event that the hotel has accepted a special agreement as set forth in Article 4, Paragraph 1, this shall apply only when the guest has been notified of the obligation to pay the penalty when the guest cancels the accommodation contract, in accepting such special agreement.
- If the guest does not arrive by 8:00 p.m. on the day of the stay without contacting the hotel (or by two hours after the expected arrival time if the guest has specified that time in advance), the hotel may consider the accommodation contract to have been cancelled by the guest.
Our right to cancel the contract
Article 7
- Our hotel may cancel the accommodation contract in the following cases.
- The hotel may cancel the accommodation contract in the following cases: When the guest is deemed liable to conduct themself in a manner that will violate the laws, public order, or good morals regarding their accommodation, or when they are deemed to have committed such conduct.

When the Guest is considered to be one of the following (a) to (c)
- (a) Organized crime groups, organized crime group members, associate members of organized crime groups or people related to organized crime groups or other anti-social forces
- (b) When a corporation or other organization controls business activities of an organized crime group or its members.
- (c) A corporation with an officer who is a member of an organized crime group.
- When the guest behaves in a manner that causes significant nuisance to other guests.
- When the guest can be clearly detected as carrying an infectious disease.
- When violent demands are made concerning the accommodation or an unreasonable burden is requested.
- When it is impossible to provide accommodation due to a natural disaster or other force majeure event.
- When the case falls under Article 4 of the Nara Prefecture Hotel and Inn Business Act Enforcement Ordinance.
- When the Guest smokes in bed, tampers with fire-fighting equipment, or fails to comply with other prohibited activities stipulated by the Hotel (limited to those necessary for fire prevention).
- When the Hotel has cancelled the Accommodation Contract in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Hotel shall not charge the Guest for any accommodation services which he has not yet received.
Accommodation registration
Article 8
- Guests will be required to register the following particulars at the Hotel on the day of their stay:
- Name, age, gender, address and occupation of the guest
- For foreigners who do not have an address in Japan, we would like to get your nationality, passport number, place of entry, and date of entry
- Departure date and scheduled departure time
- Other matters deemed necessary by the hotel
- When a guest intends to pay the charges stipulated in Article 12 by any means other than Japanese currency, such as accommodation coupons or credit card, they may be required to present such means in advance at the time of registration stipulated in the preceding Paragraph.
- When "Foreigners who do not have a domicile in Japan" request accommodation, we will ask them to provide their name, address, occupation, etc., as well as their nationality and passport number, and to present and copy their passport.
Room occupancy time
Article 9
- Guests may use the guest rooms of the hotel from 3:00 PM to 10:30 AM the following morning. However, in the case of consecutive stays, guests may use the rooms all day except on the days of arrival and departure.
- Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the hotel may permit use of guest rooms outside the hours specified in the same paragraph. In such cases, the following additional fees will be charged.
- 30% of the room charge for up to 3 hours in excess
- 60% of the room charge for up to 6 hours in excess
- 100% of the room charge for over 6 hours
- The room charge in the preceding paragraph shall be 70% of the basic accommodation fee.
Compliance with the rules of use
Article 10
- Guests are required to abide by the hotel usage regulations established by the hotel and posted within the hotel premises.

- The opening hours of our main facilities are as follows. Detailed opening hours of other facilities will be provided in the pamphlets provided, on notices posted in various locations, and in the service directory in the guest rooms.

- (a) Curfew: 11:00 PM
- (b) Front desk service: 7:00 AM - 10:30 PM

Food and beverage (facility) service hours:
- (a) Breakfast: 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM
- (b) Lunch: 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM
- (c) Dinner: 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Front desk/cashier service hours:
- The hours in the preceding paragraph may be subject to temporary change due to unavoidable circumstances. In such cases, we will notify you as appropriate.
Payment of fees
Article 12
- The breakdown of the accommodation fees, etc. to be paid by the guest shall be as set forth in Schedule 1.
- Payment of accommodation fees, etc. as stated in the preceding paragraph shall be made at the hotel at the time of the guest's departure or upon request by the hotel in currency or by any other means acceptable to the hotel, such as accommodation coupons or credit cards.
- Accommodation fees will be charged even if the Guest voluntarily does not stay in the accommodation facility after the Hotel has provided the guest room to the Guest and made it available for use.
Responsibilities of the Hotel
Article 13
- Our hotel will compensate the guest for damages caused to the guest in the fulfillment or non-fulfillment of the accommodation contract and related agreements, unless such damages are due to reasons not attributable to our hotel.
- Our hotel is covered by hotel liability insurance to cover the unlikely event of a fire or other incident.
Handling when contracted rooms cannot be provided
Article 14
- When our hotel is unable to provide a contracted room to a guest, we will, with the guest's consent, arrange accommodation of the same standards elsewhere for the guest, wherever possible.
- Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, if the hotel is unable to arrange other accommodations for the guest, the hotel will pay the guest a compensation fee equivalent to the breach of contract charge, which will be applied to the amount of damages. However, if the hotel is unable to provide a room due to reasons beyond the hotel's control, the hotel will not pay the compensation fee.
Handling of deposited items, etc.
Article 15
- When damage such as loss or breakage occurs to goods, cash or valuables deposited with the hotel by the guest, the hotel shall compensate for such damage, except in cases where such damage is due to force majeure. However, in the case of cash and valuables, if the hotel requests a declaration of their type and value and the guest fails to do so, the hotel shall compensate for such damage up to a maximum of 150,000 yen.
- If the loss, breakage or other damage occurs due to the intention or negligence of the hotel to any goods, cash or valuables brought into the hotel by the guest but not deposited with the hotel, the hotel will compensate for such damage. However, for any items for which the guest has not reported the type and value in advance, the hotel will compensate for such damage up to a maximum of 150,000 yen, except in cases where the loss is due to the intention or gross negligence of the hotel.
Storage of Guest's baggage or belongings
Article 16
- When the baggage of the guest is brought into the hotel prior to the guest's stay, the hotel will only be responsible for storing it if this has been approved in advance and will hand it over to the guest at the time of check-in.
- If a guest's baggage or belongings are found left behind at the hotel after check-out, and the owner is identified, the hotel will contact the owner and ask for instructions. However, if there is no instruction from the owner or the owner is not identified, the hotel will store the item at its premises for a certain period of time and then handle it in accordance with the Lost Property Act.
- The liability of our hotel regarding the custody of the Guest's baggage and belongings in the cases of the previous two paragraphs shall be in accordance with the provisions of the previous Article, Paragraph 1 in the case of Paragraph 1, and in accordance with the provisions of the same Article, Paragraph 2 in the case of the previous paragraph.
Parking Responsibility
Article 17
When a guest uses the hotel's parking lot, regardless of whether the key to the vehicle has been deposited with the hotel, the hotel is merely lending the space and is not responsible for the management of the vehicle. However, if the hotel causes damage through its intention or negligence in managing the parking lot, the hotel will be liable for compensation.
Guest Responsibilities
Article 18
When the Guest causes damage to the Hotel through intent or negligence on the part of the Guest, the Guest shall compensate the Hotel for such damage.
Disclaimer
Article 19
- The hotel shall not be liable for any damage suffered by the guest through intentional or negligent acts on the part of the guest.
- Customers are responsible for their own use of computer communications within the museum. The museum will not bear any responsibility for any damage suffered by users as a result of service interruptions caused by system failures or other reasons while using computer communications. Furthermore, if damage is caused to the company or a third party as a result of actions that the museum deems inappropriate while using computer communications, the customer will be required to compensate for such damage.
Dominant Language
Article 20
In case of any inconsistencies or discrepancies in the terms and conditions due to language differences, the Japanese text shall take precedence.
Governing law and jurisdiction
Article 21
Any disputes regarding the accommodation contract between our hotel and the guest will be governed by Japanese law and will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court or summary court having jurisdiction over the head office location of the company that manages or operates our hotel.
Effective date, etc.
Article 22
- These accommodation terms and conditions shall come into effect on April 1, 2020, and may be revised at the discretion of the hotel.
- If these Accommodation Contracts are revised, they will be posted in a viewable form on our hotel's website at least 14 days prior to the date of the revision, and the revised Accommodation Contracts will come into effect at midnight on the date of the revision.

Notes
- If tax laws are revised, the revised provisions shall apply.
- Children's rates apply to elementary school students and younger, and are 70% of the adult rate when meals and bedding equivalent to those for adults are provided, 50% when children's meals and bedding are provided, and 3,300 yen (including tax) when bedding only is provided. Infants who are not provided with bedding or meals will be charged 1,100 yen (including tax). However, children aged 2 and under are free of charge.

Note)
- The percentage is the ratio of the penalty to the basic accommodation fee.
- If the number of contract days is shortened, a penalty for one day (the first day) will be charged regardless of the number of days shortened.
- Suppose a contract is terminated for part of a group (15 or more people). In that case, we will not charge a penalty for the number of people that is 10% (rounded up to the nearest whole number) of the number of guests staying 10 days before the stay (or the day of acceptance if the application is accepted after that day).
