Special talk and lunch event by the curator
To help you enjoy the "Andrew Wyeth Exhibition," which will be held at Abeno Harukas Art Museum from October 3rd (Sat) to December 6th (Sun), 2026, we will be hosting a special talk and lunch event.
We are pleased to welcome Mr. Asakawa, Senior Curator at Abeno Harukas Art Museum, who will delve into Wyeth's career as a painter, his relationships with the places and people he depicted, and the thoughts and worldview he poured into his work. For lunch, we will offer a menu featuring specialty dishes and ingredients from Pennsylvania, the birthplace of Andrew Wyeth, a nationally popular painter known for "depicting America," and Maine, where he spent his summers. After the event, we encourage you to visit the exhibition and further appreciate the charm of Wyeth.

A specialty dish from the East Coast of the United States, where Maine is located.
◇ American lobster fried in coconut with American mushroom sauce
A sauce made with American lobster, a specialty of Maine, and mushrooms, a specialty of Pennsylvania.
◇ Apple Turnover
In keeping with the apple trees depicted in Wyeth's works, we've prepared apple pie for dessert.

Comment from Mr. Asakawa: "Wyeth painted only two places in his life with which he had actual contact. His works are filled with the history, character, and, in other words, the terroir of those places that Wyeth felt. I hope everyone will enjoy this unique opportunity to experience the terroir of the places that Wyeth loved, both through paintings and cuisine."
