Shima Kanko Hotel

Shima Kanko Hotel opened in Ise-Shima, an area that has been known since ancient times as "Mikketsukuni" (Land of Food), and is located within Ise-Shima National Park. Located in a land blessed with ingredients from the mountains and sea, the hotel is committed to "gastronomy," conveying the appeal of ingredients through its cuisine.
Every month we hold an " Ise-Shima Gastronomy" tasting event, where we serve dishes that bring out the best in local ingredients and talks by those involved in their production, promoting the charm and culinary richness of the Ise- Ise-Shima region of Mie Prefecture.

Shima Kanko Hotel

In August 2022, Shima Kanko Hotel was appointed as the "Mie Prefecture Rice Ambassador," a promotional ambassador for rice grown in Mie Prefecture, which was established to increase demand for rice grown in Mie Prefecture. The hotel has unified the rice used in each restaurant to Mie Prefecture rice, and also sells rice in its shops, actively promoting the prefecture to customers.

Miyako Resort Okushima Aqua Forest

From December 2021 to February 2022, Miyako Resort Okushima Aqua Forest SHINJU has served the branded porks, "Pearl Pork" that was raised on the original feed made from fine powder of Akoya oysters, the same oysters that grow Ise-Shima pearls, and malt lees sourced from the Ise Kadoya Beer factory and In July to September 2022, "Ise Madai", a sea bream that was breed with original blend of feed on ingredients are full of polyphenols. The hotel promotes the food of Mie Prefecture by transforming the rich bounty of Mie Prefecture into a variety of safe and delicious dishes for guests.

Miyako Hotel Amagasaki

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the hotel's opening, Miyako Hotel Amagasaki offered commemorative menus in all restaurants using ingredients from Hyogo Prefecture, such as Kobe beef, Kobe pork, Banshu Hyakunichidori chicken, Akashi sea bream, and Awaji onion. Restaurant Azalea offered a buffet themed on the combination of autumn flavors with Hyogo Prefecture ingredients, while Teppanyaki Kibune featured world-famous branded beef Kobe beef, and Japanese restaurant Tsunokuni offered kaiseki cuisine using Akashi sea bream and Akashi octopus.

Miyako Resort Shima Bayside Terrace

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of its opening, Miyako Resort Shima Bayside Terrace has renewed its breakfast menu from April 2022. As part of its collaboration with the local community, the breakfast menu now incorporates more ingredients and processed products from Mie Prefecture. Western dishes used Matsusaka pork, green laver, and Kumano Jyoyo eggs, while Japanese dishes used Mie citrus juice, Toshijima whitebait, and Ise red sea bream. The rice has been changed to Mie's brand rice, "Musubi no Kami."

Miyako Hotel Amagasaki

Miyako Hotel Amagasaki offers a menu incorporating local Hyogo ingredients, such as Koshihikari rice produced in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture; tea porridge made with roasted black beans produced in Hyogo Prefecture; ham made with Banshu Hyakunichidori chicken or Kobe pork; Amagasaki's local delicacy, Amagasaki Ankake Chanpon, Amagasaki vegetables, and fish caught off the coast of Amagasaki through a fish sharing event with the cooperation of the NPO Mukogawa ECO-LABO.
Fish sharing is an initiative in which fishermen collect fish caught in the waters of Amagasaki and give the fish to children's cafeterias in the city and restaurants that share the same purpose, thereby avoiding waste of marine resources and allowing people to eat fresh, delicious Amagasaki fish.

Miyako Hotel Yokkaichi

Miyako Hotel Yokkaichi will be serving honey from Kawamura Bee Farm, Yokkaichi's only bee farm, in breakfast, afternoon tea and other meals from the time PARMIERE opens in March 2022. The owner wants guests to enjoy the honey, harvested in the nature-rich countryside at the foot of the Suzuka Mountains, in its pure form without any unnecessary processing. The honey, which is unheated and additive-free, has a floral aroma and a gentle sweetness. The hotel will continue to actively use local ingredients and strive to promote their appeal.

Hotel Kintetsu Universal City

The restaurant "Epoch" at Hotel Kintetsu Universal City offers a menu that is conscious of local Osaka ingredients such as "water eggplant" and plant-based foods. The menus on the counter include logos of Osaka-made (Mon) and Blue Seafood, and POPs are created to appeal to the eye and the tongue.

Miyako Hotel Amagasaki is currently developing products using strawberries from local strawberry farm Sasahara Vegetable Garden in Amagasaki, and offers a variety of strawberry sweets, including Christmas cakes, as well as cocktails, smoothies and other drinks, contributing to the revitalization of the local community and the development of the local community.

Miyako City Osaka Tennoji

Miyako City Osaka Tennoji is holding events with the cooperation of farmers who grow ingredients closely related to Tennoji. Using ingredients from Osaka, Nara, and Wakayama, such as "Kema cucumbers," "Sakai chili," and "YAMATO tea," the event aims to educate guests on the characteristics, history, and cooking methods of local ingredients through cooking. Osaka is the second worst in the country in terms of self-sufficiency. We hope that this event will provide an opportunity for people to experience local ingredients, even if it is minimum.

Miyako Hotel Gifu Nagaragawa

Through the Gifu Prefectural Social Welfare Council, Miyako Hotel Gifu Nagaragawa invited children (40 people in total) from child welfare facilities near the hotel on two occasions starting in October 2022, where they experienced making tents and hot sandwiches on the top-floor terrace and explored the hotel.
In December 2023, we held a Christmas party inviting children from three foster care facilities belonging to the Gifu Prefecture Child Welfare Council. Approximately 80 children aged between 4 and 18 participated, enjoying a buffet-style meal, a concert, and a s'mores experience (roasted marshmallows, etc.) around a bonfire on the terrace. At the climax, employees dressed as Santa Claus handed out Christmas presents, making for a meaningful Christmas. We will continue to work to provide experiences and services that can be done at the hotel for the children who will lead the future and the local community.

Shima Kanko Hotel

As part of the food education initiative undertaken by the Shima City Board of Education School Lunch Center in December 2022, Executive Chef Hiroe Higuchi at Shima Kanko Hotel devised and supervised a menu using local ingredients such as spiny lobster, miso, citrus fruits, and green laver. The dishes were served to approximately 3,000 children from 13 elementary and junior high schools in the city, and a social event was also held on the same day, where producers participated and introduced the importance of ingredients and the attention to detail in cooking, and the children listened intently to the talk.

Miyako Resort Shima Bayside Terrace

Miyako Resort Shima Bayside Terrace values ​​coexistence with the local community and serves dishes made with local ingredients and processed products from Mie Prefecture, as well as local sake and wine from Mie Prefecture. The head chef personally visits producers in Mie Prefecture and holds a "food tasting event" two to three times a year, using carefully selected ingredients. On the day of the event, producers are invited to the venue to talk about their passion for ingredients, local sake, and other products. In 2023, a French dinner tasting event was held on Thursday, April 20th and Thursday, October 26th, and a Japanese lunch tasting event was held on Sunday, May 14th.

Miyako Hotel Amagasaki

In December 2023, Miyako Hotel Amagasaki planted bulbs in the hotel's flower beds as part of the "Town Corner Flower Planting Campaign" promoted by Amagasaki City. Then, in late March, colorful, lovely tulips bloomed in full glory, heralding the arrival of spring. The Tulip Campaign is a citizen movement that began in 1999, with the aim of growing tulips throughout the city and making Amagasaki a city where flowers bloom in full bloom, with the participation of many citizens and business people at the forefront.

In October 2022, Miyako Hotel Amagasaki participated in an event to clean up the Shoshigawa River, located on the west side of the hotel. The Love River Shoshigawa Operation is a river conservation activity that has been held since 1994, in which local junior high school students, their families, and people from companies participate to clean up the riverside and inside the river.

Miyako Hotel Gifu Nagaragawa

On Sunday, April 16, 2023 , Miyako Hotel Gifu Nagaragawa conducted a cleanup activity on the Nagaragawa riverbed and around the hotel as the first of fiscal year 2023. This activity is carried out voluntarily by the hotel as part of the "Gifu City Adopt Program Gifu Town Development Team," which was registered in November 2021, and aims to encourage people to develop an attachment to the town they live in and to take the initiative in beautifying the area. It is carried out alternately in the area around JR Gifu Station. We will continue to work to create a town that is sustainable.

Miyako Hotel Gifu Nagaragawa

As part of the Gifu MIRAI's initiative, Miyako Hotel Gifu Nagaragawa hosted 30 second-year students from Gifu Municipal Aikawa Junior High School in June 2023, and 63 second-year students from Gifu Municipal Yonan Junior High School on Tuesday, September 5th of the same year. Gifu MIRAI's is an inquiry-based learning program established by Gifu City for children and students from municipal elementary, junior high, and special needs schools to learn about Gifu City, with "the whole of Gifu City" as the classroom and "all of the people, things, and events of Gifu City" as teachers. On the day, the hotel toured the facility, and employees from each department gave talks on the current state of Gifu's tourism industry and the work of the hotel, leading to an exciting Q&A session with the students, making for an exciting training session.

Miyako Hotel Gifu Nagaragawa

As part of its community and social contribution activities, Miyako Hotel Gifu Nagaragawa exhibited origami works folded by residents of the Ai no Ie group home in December 2024. The origami works donated were displayed for viewing by many people and given as gifts to children and overseas guests, providing encouragement to those living with dementia. Through this activity, we are deepening understanding of dementia and promoting the appeal of Japanese culture across generations and countries.

Miyako Hotel Gifu Nagaragawa

As part of its contribution to the local community, Miyako Hotel Gifu Nagaragawa hosted 36 eighth grade students (second year junior high school students) from Gifu University Elementary and Junior High School, Faculty of Education, for a field trip in September 2023. The school is currently studying a new area called "how to live," and as they consider their own future, they had the opportunity to learn about "what is happiness in work," by visiting and learning from employees who actually work at the hotel, as well as spending valuable time with them during question and answer sessions.

Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo

Starting in December 2022 , Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo will be holding a "small concert" once a month in the lobby on weekends. This concert, performed by students from Kyoto City University of Arts, will be the 15th in March 2024. The first time was a mini-concert in search of a venue near the station by volunteers from the university's music department to promote the campus's relocation to the east of Kyoto Station in 2023. The students' desire to make music accessible and enjoy its joy resonated with the hotel's desire to contribute to the community through hospitality. In support of their activities, the concert has developed into a free-to-view, regular concert hosted by the hotel, which is enjoyed by many guests every month.
