Miyako Hotels & Resorts practices hygiene management that incorporates the HACCP concept, which became mandatory in June 2021, and regular inspections of the hygiene management status in the hotel kitchens are conducted by external specialist agencies and audits are conducted by the responsible department.
In addition, we hold regular food hygiene seminars for employees who handle food to raise awareness of food safety and security, and we also conduct stool tests to prevent food poisoning from viruses such as norovirus.

Shima Kanko Hotel has had an agreement with Shima City to serve as an evacuation shelter in the event of a disaster since 2016. Every year, we conduct drills simulating earthquake disasters, raising the awareness of all staff members so that they can contribute to the safety and security of the local community.

Miyako Hotel Hakata participated in the "Hakata Station Flood Prevention Joint Training" on May 19, 2022.
The training is being carried out by the Hakata Station Flood Prevention Training Executive Committee, which is made up of 14 businesses connected by the Hakata Station underground mall.
In June 1999, Fukuoka City experienced flood damage to 3,000 homes and offices, mainly in Hakata Ward. Learning from that experience, the city now conducts drills in May, when the rainy season begins.
