Participating in Clean Day (local cleanup activities)
Once a month, Miyako Hotel Hakata takes part in "Clean Day," a local cleanup activity centered around Hakata Station.
Clean Day is part of the projects run by the Hakata Urban Development Promotion Council, and our company has been a member of the council since our opening in September 2019.

FARMER YOU Project: Eat delicious food and protect the environment
Although the rabbitfish is a fish with high-quality white meat, it is difficult to process and is rarely distributed. In recent years, the decline of fishing grounds due to the fish eating seaweed, known as "rocky shore denudation," has become an environmental problem.
As part of the SDGs , CAFÉ EMPATHY at Miyako Hotel Hakata has implemented an initiative to protect the environment while enjoying delicious food by serving rabbitfish on the menu.

Reducing plastic use in guest room amenities
As part of efforts to comply with the Act on Promotion of Resource Recycling of Plastics, which will come into effect in April 2022, Miyako Hotel Hakata is gradually replacing the soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion in guest rooms with pouch-type products.
This pouch type uses 64.77% less plastic than the bottle type of the same brand.

Participating in joint flood prevention drills at
Hakata Station
Miyako Hotel Hakata participated in the "Hakata Station Flood Prevention Joint Training" on May 19, 2022.
The training is being carried out by the Hakata Station Flood Prevention Training Executive Committee, which is made up of 14 businesses connected by the Hakata Station underground mall.
In June 1999, Fukuoka City experienced flood damage to 3,000 homes and offices, mainly in Hakata Ward. Learning from that experience, the city now conducts drills in May, when the rainy season begins.
