With a history spanning 2,000 years, it is the spiritual home of the Japanese people and is made up of 125 shrines, including the Inner Shrine and the Outer Shrine.

Ise Jingu is officially called "Jingu" and is popularly known by names such as "Oise-san" and "Daijingu-san."
There are two main shrines: the Inner Shrine (Kotaijingu), which enshrines Amaterasu Oomikami, who is revered as the great ancestor of the people, and the Outer Shrine (Toyouke Daijingu), which enshrines Toyouke Omikami, the guardian deity of industry, including food, clothing, and shelter.
In addition to these two main shrines, the shrine complex includes 14 auxiliary shrines, 43 auxiliary shrines, 24 subordinate shrines, and 42 subordinate shrines.

If you take the Pearl Shuttle, it takes about 70 minutes from the hotel.

The Pearl Shuttle is a shuttle bus that runs between the Inner Shrine of Ise Jingu and the Ise-Shima Resort Hotel.

Most of the approach to the shrine is paved with gravel. There is a baggage storage facility (charged) for carry-on bags and other items.
