"Cooking Masters" Bronze Award Winner

On October 27, 2017, she became the first woman to receive the Bronze Award at the 8th Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Chef Awards "Cooking Masters."

Higuchi received this award in recognition of its efforts to promote local production and consumption, which it values, and its collaboration with the domestic agriculture, forestry, and fisheries industries. Another reason for the award was that it provided local ingredients using cooking methods that made the most of the ingredients at the "G7 Ise-Shima Summit 2016" held in Mie Prefecture, contributing to promoting the prefecture's appeal.
Shima Kanko Hotel is delighted to receive this prestigious award from Higuchi, and will continue to work with local producers to deliver cuisine unique to Ise-Shima.
