The annual Shosoin Exhibition held every fall at the Nara National Museum offers a rare opportunity to view treasures that have been preserved in the Shosoin Repository for nearly 1,300 years.
Due to high demand every year, purchasing a timed entry ticket (advance reservation required) is mandatory.
