Among the many historic and famous sites in Higashiyama, Keage is an especially tranquil area at the foot of Mount Kacho. In 1890, Miyako Hotel was established near the area that would later become known as the Nanzenji area, where many business leaders built their villas. For over 130 years since then, we have welcomed many guests, including state and official guests, visiting Kyoto, a world-renowned tourist city.
In 2020, to commemorate its 130th anniversary, the hotel underwent a major renovation with the aim of making further strides as one of Kyoto's leading luxury hotels. With the addition of facilities and services befitting a new era, the hotel has been completed as one that will satisfy luxury-conscious customers.

MIZUHO is the largest banquet hall in Kyoto Prefecture, and can accommodate buffet parties for 2,000 people and formal banquets for 1,100 people. Movable walls allow the hall to be divided into two to four separate rooms for simultaneous use.
We also have a variety of banquet halls, from those with a view of the Japanese garden and the Kyoto scenery, that allow you to experience the ancient capital of Kyoto, to small banquet halls that can be used for small online conferences or as dressing rooms, and after-party halls. We can meet all your needs, from events and parties, to subcommittees and product exhibitions using multiple banquet halls, and MICE events.

The AOI-DEN, Japanese Garden , registered as a Kyoto City Cultural Property ( MINORI ), can be viewed from the AOI-DEN and Minori-no-Ma banquet halls on the 4th floor of the East Building.

The rooftop garden offers a panoramic view of Kyoto. In the summer, you can also enjoy the Gozan no Okuribi bonfires.
The traditional event "Kyoto Gozan Okuribi" is held every year on August 16th.
From our hotel you can see "Daimonji", "Funagata", "Myo" and "Hidari Daimonji".

■Access: Approximately 25 minutes from Kyoto Station by free hotel bus. Luggage storage service is available at the Hachijo Exit of Kyoto Station. Banquet guests who come by car will receive 3 hours of free parking.
