Located at the end of a private passage on the 7th floor of the hotel is the KASUIEN, Japanese Annex," which is filled with a Japanese atmosphere. Once you pass through the heavy, historic cypress-bark-roofed gate, you will find yourself in a peaceful space that will help you forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You can feel the breath of Murano Togo, a representative of Japanese modernist architecture. The baths in the guest rooms draw in natural hot spring water and are equipped with bathtubs made from Japanese cypress and hinoki cypress. The refreshing scent of the wood enhances the relaxing mood and will thoroughly soothe your travel fatigue. Please spend some relaxing time in a newly reborn space that has retained the elegance of the time.

The spacious space will make your stay as relaxing as if you were at home. All rooms are equipped with a study room, so you can enjoy relaxing time reading in a calm and quiet space.
KASUIEN(52-68㎡)
We offer rooms with different layouts, including modern Western-style and calming Japanese-style. Depending on the room, you can enjoy a variety of views from the window, such as a view of lush nature right in front of you or a panoramic view of the Kyoto cityscape.

[2 types] A set of incense holders featuring "Yoshimizu," the elegant Japanese scent of high-quality agarwood, and "Shirakawa," the gentle, sweet scent of sandalwood.
[5 types] A set of KASUIEN's original fragrance "Yoshimizu" and 4 other fragrances inspired by the seasons of spring, summer, fall, and winter, plus a set of Kiyomizu-yaki incense holders.
[Scented Box/Chrysanthemum] A scented sachet is placed under a chrysanthemum made from Echizen handmade washi paper, and the white lacquerware is decorated with the KASUIEN logo. When you open the lid, a Japanese scent wafts out.

The chopsticks are made from Kyoto Kitayama Maruta cedar and are engraved with the gourd motif of KASUIEN.
The chopstick rests, made at Arita-yaki Fukujugama, feature a gourd design, which is a motif of KASUIEN.

Samue
Original design samue (work clothes) are provided in the guest rooms at KASUIEN.
Available in free size, navy blue for men and madder red for women.
The material is 65% polyester and 35% cotton yarn-dyed tsumugi fabric. This is a modern take on the traditional tsumugi fabric that has been loved for ages.
It has a rough texture and just the right amount of weight, giving it a luxurious feel.
