Located at the end of a private corridor on the 7th floor of the hotel is the Japanese Annex KASUIEN, a sukiya-style building overflowing with Japanese charm. Passing through the imposing cypress bark-roofed gate that evokes a sense of history, you will find yourself in a tranquil space that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You can feel the presence of Togo Murano, a leading figure in Japanese modernist architecture. The guest rooms feature bathtubs with natural hot spring water and made of Japanese cypress and Japanese umbrella pine. The refreshing scent of wood enhances the relaxing atmosphere, allowing you to thoroughly soothe away the fatigue of your travels. Enjoy a relaxing time in a space that has been reborn while retaining its original charm.

KASUIEN(70-84㎡)
The spacious space will make your stay as relaxing as if you were at home. All rooms are equipped with a study room, so you can enjoy relaxing time reading in a calm and quiet space.
KASUIEN(52-68㎡)
We offer rooms with different layouts, including modern Western-style and calming Japanese-style. Depending on the room, you can enjoy a variety of views from the window, such as a view of lush nature right in front of you or a panoramic view of the Kyoto cityscape.

Original incense / Made by Shoyeido
[2 types] A set of incense holders featuring "Yoshimizu," the elegant Japanese scent of high-quality agarwood, and "Shirakawa," the gentle, sweet scent of sandalwood.
[5 types] A set of KASUIEN's original fragrance "Yoshimizu" and 4 other fragrances inspired by the seasons of spring, summer, fall, and winter, plus a set of Kiyomizu-yaki incense holders.
[Scented Box/Chrysanthemum] A scented sachet is placed under a chrysanthemum made from Echizen handmade washi paper, and the white lacquerware is decorated with the KASUIEN logo. When you open the lid, a Japanese scent wafts out.

Samue
Original design samue (work clothes) are provided in the guest rooms at KASUIEN.
Available in free size, navy blue for men and madder red for women.
The material is 65% polyester and 35% cotton yarn-dyed tsumugi fabric. This is a modern take on the traditional tsumugi fabric that has been loved for ages.
It has a rough texture and just the right amount of weight, giving it a luxurious feel.
